6 th Annual Grays Harbor County Expo Announces Second Annual Surf n Shine Car Show

The BRACKETSTARS Hot Rod Association's Second Annual Surf N Shine Car Show rolls into
Ocean Shores Saturday May 25th through Sunday May 26th for a Memorial Day Car Show
Extravaganza! “This is one of the events that draws people to the Grays Harbor County Expo at
the Convention Center. We are excited to have them with us again this year,” says Dennis Irby.

Featuring some of the finest hot rods in the area, BRACKETSTARS is one of the most active
Hot Rodders organizations in The Pacific North West. Producing 7 car shows and sponsoring 15
drag race events annually. The Surf N Shine Car Show is the second stop of the “2013 Hot Rod
Jam Series.” The Car Show is open to all years, makes and models and caters to the classic car
show audience. Featuring 21 trophy classes, free prize drawings, live music and dash plaques for
the cars. The 21 trophies are surfer themed and The BRACKETSTARS Car Show patented
Opening Ceremonies and closing Ceremonies along with their emphasis on creating a
professional motor sports atmosphere make their shows some of the most exciting in the North
Saturday is a Show and Shine day. Sunday is judging and awards. Free Prizes both days.
Registration for car show participants is only $15. Show Hours: 9:00am - 4:00pm both days.
This is a rain or shine event. Bring your car or just enjoy the show!
Some of the car show classes are Best Of Show, Best Late Model, The Rodders Choice, Best
Club Participation, Best Trick Truck, Best Classic Truck, Best Import, Best Engine, Best Paint,
Best Interior, Best Work In Progress, Best of The 1930's, Best Of The 1940's, Best Of The
1950's, Best Of The 1960's, Best Of The 1970's, Hagerty's Best Collector Car, a class called "Just
Cool", and best Vehicle Display.
Last year Best Of Show Honors went to David Buckner and his 2006 Dodge Charger. Best Stock
went to Ed Duncan and his 1978 Chevrolet Camaro. Judy and Rob Mayhew’s 1934 Ford PickUp took the Best Trick Truck award. The 1970 Ford Mustang of Ron Strawn captured Best Of
